Rookie DL Dareus puts charge in Bills pass-rush

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) - Marcell Dareus is all smiles now that the rookie defensive lineman has put the charge back in the Buffalo Bills pass rush. The first-round pick out of Alabama was busy back-slapping teammates and flashing a toothy grin among reporters Monday, a day after the sack-happy Bills' 23-0 win over the Washington Redskins. Dareus had 2 1/2 of Buffalo's nine sacks in helping the team improve to 5-2 heading into an AFC East showdown against the New York Jets (4-3) this weekend. The nine sacks are the second-most in franchise history, and came after the Bills had managed an NFL-low four sacks in their first six games. Dareus called the dominating performance "the tip of the iceberg" for a defense that held the Redskins to 178 yards and 10 first downs.
