Marcell Dareus Arrested
CLEBURNE COUNTY, Ala. (WVUA) - WVUA reporter Travis Leder has confirmed with Cleburne County Sheriff Joe Jacks that Buffalo Bills Deffensive Lineman Marcell Dareus was arrested there Monday night.
According to the Cleburne County Sheriff's Office, Dareus was arrested last night by an Alabama State Trooper. He was taken into the jail, and was subsequently released less than an hour later.
Alabama State Troopers tell WVUA that at 8:30 p.m., an Alabama State Trooper stopped a vehicle for speeding on Interstate 20 at Exit 210, in Cleburne County.
After investigating further, the trooper arrested the driver, Marcell Dareus, for felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A source confirms Dareus was in possession of synthetic cannabis, or "spice", which is illeagal in Alabama.
