Abortion Ultra-sound

WVUA is covering the Alabama Legislature, where the Senate is considering a bill requiring Doctors to do an ultrasound exam before  perfoming an abortion. Senate Bill 12 is called the "Right to Know and See Act". It would require a Physician to perform a traditional ultrasound, or a procedure that's invasive and provide verbal explanation of the ultrasound. The bill states a Physician would be required to display the images to the pregnant woman before performing an abortion, but neither the Physician nor the woman would be subject to any penalty if she declines to look at the images. The procedure would be excluded during an abortion in a medical emergency.
